The Vision

Modern motorsport relies heavily on data-driven engineering, yet commercial telemetry systems remain rigid, proprietary, and costly. This project aims to design and build an open-architecture, fully customizable vehicle telemetry platform from the ground up.

Engineered specifically for track and road use, the system provides real-time driver feedback and high-frequency data logging, while maintaining a modular foundation that seamlessly scales with new sensors, telemetry channels, and custom software expansion.

Architecture

Designed around a modular hardware and software pipeline, the system utilizes a centralized processing core paired with an automotive OBD-II interface and custom UI framework.

By isolating data collection into independent, asynchronous background threads, the system logs high-frequency parameters to local storage while simultaneously streaming live, hardware-accelerated telemetry directly to a custom cockpit display.
